The core mission of NEF is to level the playing field so that economically disadvantaged youth can have the door of opportunity opened to them to acquire the skills and knowledge that can empower them to compete in the high demand jobs market.

What About Displaced Workers?
The pandemic has been the direct cause of the largest number of displaced or laid off workers in the history of the U.S. Many good hard working people are struggling to find new employment simply because they lack the skills employers are looking for.

NEF has responded to this national emergency by opening the doors to our scholarship grant program to anyone of any age who is seeking to invest the time and effort into expanding their skill set to step into a new career or launch their own small business.

How many courses can I take and on how many topics?
We want you to accomplish all of your training goals so there are absolutely NO LIMITS to the number of courses or the topics you can take during the course of the year.
Will you help me to find a job once I complete my training?
No, we do not have job placement services. However, the State University of New York does have job counseling services.
Are there any ongoing fees I need to be aware of?
Not from NEF. With the 72.5% scholarship your $165 covers you for a period of one year. If you have not finished a course or choose to take more courses at the end of a year, we will extend your scholarship and only $165 will be charged to cover another year.
